10 towns where voter registration has increased and 10 where it has decreased

Over the last six years, Massachusetts has seen a 3.5% increase in voter registration across the state. While voter registration is up from previous years, there are also some cities that have lost a significant amount of voters as well. Listed below are the 10 towns that have increased their voter registration the most, and the 10 towns that have decreased their voter registration the most.

  1. Lowell: 19.1% increase
  2. Raynham: 14.5% increase
  3. Ayer: 13.1% increase
  4. Chelsea: 12.2% increase
  5. Hopkinton: 11.8% increase
  6. Fitchburg: 10.8% increase
  7. Upton: 10.4% increase
  8. Hull: 10.3% increase
  9. Bolton: 10.2% increase
  10. Dighton: 10.2% increase

And here are the 10 towns with the highest decrease in voter registration

  1. Brookline: 10.8% decrease
  2. Haverhill: 8.2% decrease
  3. Fall River: 7.5% decrease
  4. Wellesley: 6.3% decrease
  5. Lawrence: 6.2% decrease
  6. Quincy: 5.7% decrease
  7. Dartmouth: 5.6% decrease
  8. Webster: 5.6% decrease
  9. North Adams: 5.1% decrease
  10. Pittsfield: 4% decrease
